Here are the poets who are participating in the upcoming
Monterey Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival. The participants
reflect all styles of cowboy poetry from around the country.

Yvonne Hollenbeck
South Dakota's premier female poet returns to Monterey after a wonderful debut last year. In addition to her poetry, Yvonne will be giving a quilting workshop that encompasses over 100 years of family tradition.
Joel Nelson
Joel is a master reciter of Western classics and author of many future classics. He is also a master horseman whose soft hand has started many colts.

Pat Richardson
"One-of-a-kind" is a phrase used often when describing this former rodeo cowboy turned poet. We're happy to have Pat and his "unique" sense of humor back in Monterey.
Randy Rieman
A veritible encyclopedia of classic cowboy poetry, Randy Rieman is also a rawhide braider and horseman. Randy has worked on many ranches, including Hawaii's legendary Parker Ranch.

Gary Robertson
For 25 years, Gary has been writing about the daily trials and tribulations of the cowboy and rancher. One of his poems was chosen to be included in the book Cowboy Poetry: The Reunion.
Sandy Seaton
Sandy and her husband Scott Sallee own and operate Black Mountain Outfitters. Sandy appeared in the John Denver television special, Montana Christmas Skies, and is an inductee of the Montana Poets Hall of Fame.

Mick Vernon
Former President of the Board of Directors and current Artistic
Director Mick Vernon debuted as a featured performer last year, taking many folks happily by surprise.
Paul Zarzyski
This Polish-Hobo-Poet from Montana has made Monterey his home-away-from-home, and we're happy he has. Paul's poetry, both rhymed and free-verse, reflects a depth and breadth explored by few, but enjoyed by all.
