Welcome to the Monterey Cowboy Poetry & Music Festival

Here are the musicians who are participating in the upcoming
2007 Monterey Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival. The partici-
pants reflect all styles of cowboy music. They are absolutely
the best of the best.

	Mike Beck A Monterey native turned Nevada buckaroo turned Montana horse trainer, as well as a first class songwriter, Mike writes from first hand cowboy experience.		RW Hampton A Monterey festival favorite. RW is one of the most naturally gifted singers in the business, having won numerous top singing and songwriting awards from both the WMA and AWA over the years.

	Joni Harms We're pleased to have Oregon cowgirl and award-winning singer/songwriter Joni Harms return to Monterey. Besides keeping the Western in Country-Western music, Joni raises Quarterhorses on an Oregon ranch homesteaded by her great, great grandfather in 1870.		Tom Russell Tom is a troubadour legend. His songs have been recorded by the likes of the late Johnny Cash, Suzy Bogguss, Ramblin Jack Elliott and Iris DeMent.

	Ernie Sites This fun-loving cowboy from Idaho makes everyone happy. He knows about every cowboy song ever written, recites poetry and is even the only cowboy music rap star!!!		Ian Tyson Legendary singer/songwriter Ian Tyson, a recipient of the Order of Canada and numerous major music awards, returns to Monterey, bringing with him over 40 years of great western music. We are pleased to have this western icon return.

	Wylie and the Wild West This group packs a whole lot of energy in every performance. Wylie Gustafson is a singer, songwriter, yodeler (of Yahoo fame), musician, team roper, cutting horse breeder and God fearing, all around nice guy.
