Here's a look at our Artisan participants for this year's event ... so far.

Joelle Smith Western Art - This year's festival poster, "Jeremiah and Randy," was created by Joelle. Randy Rieman and Jeremiah Watt, both of whom will be with us at the festival, are the subjects. The images Joelle captures for us on canvas have been the inspiration for a song by Lorraine Rawls called "Through Her Eyes" & the cover design for a Don Edwards' album. She also has created a CD cover for Wylie Gustafson of Wylie and the Wild West. The song, "Good Night, Good Pony" by Juni Fisher was written about Joelle. Joelle's booth will include bronze sculptures as well as limited edition prints. Check into the silk ties and scarves bearing her artwork as great gifts. Joelle's Mom, Sally Smith, will be representing her work.

 

Chronicle of the Old West - Dakota and Sunny Livesay, owners and publishers of the western newspaper, Chronicle of the Old West, return to our show.

In addition to being the publisher of the Chronicle of the Old West the newspaper, Dakota is also the narrator of Chronicle of the Old West the daily radio show, and host of the hour-long weekly show, Chronicle of the Old West Weekly Edition. Come visit with them and see what wonderful horseback trips they have planned for summer 2007.

Brushpoppers - Jo Pavlina, owner of Brushpoppers, will be bringing a beautiful array of antique saddles, wild rags, cowboy cuffs, leather bags and jackets, as well as saddle blankets & Native American wall hangings and rugs. She hails from Simi Valley , California .   Jeremiah Watt
Not satisfied with the tools available for saddlemakers, Jeremiah created a new line. His Watt Products include bits & spurs, while his Watt Bros. Saddles invites you to try a comfortable ride at a reasonable price. His custom work is sought after worldwide.
Two Spirits Trading - Owner Ken Osborne and his wife bring antique bits, spurs, knives, jewelry and books. A really nice assortment for the collector-shopper. They have been a regular at our Art and Gear Show for the past few years.

- Deborah Kunic is a professional artist who depicts California ranch life and Vaqueros on ceramic dinnerware and accessories. She has been doing art for 30+ years, working in bronze, water color, oil, acrylics, and even produces etchings.

Which Way'd They Go
David Foorman and Donna Snyder-Smith of Walnut, CA have a great collection of vintage western art prints, including Jo Mora, and old western books and comics. They also offer collectable and antique bits and spurs and a great selection of Pendleton blankets and saddle blankets, collectable and special editions.
 

Zapotec Native Art - Hipolito Zenon is a first class weaver who will be weaving beautiful blankets and rugs during the show. He will offering many styles, colors, and sizes of rugs and pillow and will also take orders for any special designs or sizes you may want.

Carlos Silver - For over a quarter century, Carlos Duerte has been creating custom buckles, jewelry and silver trim for saddles, tack, bits & spurs, in the finest of prcious metals. Carlos Silver produces only hand-crafted custom designs... no stamping for this silversmith!

 

Western Sidekicks - Lynn Miller is a maker of wonderful leather and fine engraved silver products. She specializes in items with an old-timey buckaroo look.

Tom's Vintage Signs - Tom Towler creates custom hand made vintage-looking signs that can be used for businesses, homes, or as unique gifts.

 

Geri Dunn - Geri is another new (to our show) artist who works primarily in graphic pencil. She grew up in the Santa Ynez Valley where horses, cattle, and rolling hills became part of her inspiration to start drawing at the age of 9.

     

Tully Hole Saddlery - Bryan Kunic specializes in custom gear for the horse and rider with a vaquero design that is built for the working cowboy. Chinks, chaps, saddles, knives, spur straps, mecates are just a few of the items Bryan will have at the show.

 

Hernandez Silversmith - Joe Hernandez is a new silversmith joining our Art & Gear Show. He engraves beautiful bits, spurs, jewelry, and will also bring leather purses, mecates, rawhide work, and many more items for the horse and rider.

     

Lonesome Cowboy Ranch - Sandy Miller and Robert Barnhardt are bringing boots, hats and other western items, both old and new. Lonesome Cowboy Ranch features a colorful and diverse array of vintage items: cowboy boots , older Native American jewelry, tooled handbags and belts, western wear, leathers and Indian blanket jackets. They also specialize in a line of Old West replica hats that they custom design, shape and 'distress' to look like those great 'ole hats we see in the classic Westerns!

 

Ned & Jody Martin - This husband and wife team has traveled all over the U.S.A. , Europe , and South America to take pictures and to do research for their extraordinarily beautiful books. Their books are ones that every western collector must have and the general public will enjoy as well.

     

Pellagrino Art - Judy Pellagrino will be a first time artisan at the Art and Gear Show this year. She is well known in the western art circle for her unique style. Judy will also have cutting boards in western motif.

 

Carol K - Carole Schurch is also new to our show this year. She has been made jewelry for over 20 years with unique designs of semiprecious stones, gold, and sterling silver.

     

Diamond A/TKS Beaded Baubles - Amanda Rose is a new artisan whose unique beaded jewelry will be on everyone's gift list. Unique pieces in a variety of price ranges.

 

Dee Dee Garcia-White - Dee Dee will make available her book about her grandfather, G.S. Garcia, titled Legacy of Silver and Saddles. It is a pictorial history of this famous bit and spur maker's life.

     

Sky Pollen Trading Company - A new exhibitor from Manhatton Beach , CA , Alison Coffey offers a wide variety of western goods and gear.
